FAQ Interview Question 29
Why
do you have a no-refund policy on registration fees?
First of
all, our no-refund policy is that we do not give refunds for registration
fees unless someone completes the training or the seminar and, after fully
completing it, felt that it did not deliver value commensurate with what
they paid. They then can request a refund and we will refund it without
question. That is our refund policy, and it's clearly defined and also
clearly written on each registration form for every public training event
we do.
If someone registers but does not show up at the training or they start
the training but then leave, we do not offer a refund. First of all, there's
the practical aspects of putting on an event in which we're incurring
costs based upon our expectations of attendance. Secondly, part of our
work is that we want to be an invitation for people to notice how they
relate to their word, so if someone registers, then we're taking them
at their word and want to be clear about that. We have found that being
clear about that supports participants in receiving maximum value in the
training, because it supports them in taking the commitment seriously.
That said,
if an extenuating situation comes up and a participant can't attend the
training that they signed up for, we do offer a full credit for any future
training event.
