FAQ Interview Question 30
Doesn't
that contradict what you said earlier about a participant being free to
leave the training at any point? Isn't it sort of a form of manipulation
that they have to stay through the whole training to get refund?
No, it's
just being clear, upfront. Right on the registration and right on the
website when you register, it says so in plain English. People decide
whether they want to enter into that agreement or not. Obviously we live
in the society of divorce where people make agreements they don't really
mean, or they want to have recourse if they change their mind. The point
that we're trying to make is, if you want to leave, go ahead. There are
prices whenever you leave or stay; so if you leave, one of the prices
is that you give up your registration fee. We have no obligation to give
back the registration fee. We're willing to offer a refund after the completion
of the training because we believe and have found that the process of
the training plays itself out all the way to end and is very valuable
for participants. But if a participant really thinks that he/she doesn't
want to be there, they leave and accept that they made a bad decision
that cost them their registration fee.
But if they're
that afraid prior to participating, we tell them not to do the training.
That's what we would advise. If someone has that much suspicion, if they
can't come in with any certainty that we have their best interests at
heart, then they should not come. Go do something else, we tell them.
This policy is designed to help people get through that emotional fear
to run, when it's really by staying that they're going to have the greatest
value and see that they can work it through. That's a part of the dynamic
we want to set up. That's a part of what creates the context for our trainings
it's
a commitment, and at the end of the event, if it hasn't been valuable,
if you request it, you get your registration fee back. And we mean if
it isn't valuable by your standards, not ours. You just say give me the
money back at the end of the four days, and it's done.
